"FAILING FORWARD" follows Walter Lee, a celebrity chef in Thailand, whose life changes when his son Zy is born with only one limb. After an uncompromising search for proper treatment, Zy takes his first steps in 2009. The film documents their mountain climbing journey, including their ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro, and Zy's career as an accomplished Paralympic swimmer. Walter establishes the ZY Movement Foundation to support children with mobility disabilities, proving that physical limitations don't define a person, but rather the way one chooses to overcome them.
